This is such a tired trope of the anti union group.

The proof that the union only asked for "industry standard" is the contract comparison document that was produced. All that did was establish reasonable parameters of what is possible. Nobody shot for the moon.

Furthermore, the use of the verb "promise" is specious at best. How can the union be blamed for overwhelming negativity and trying to drive everyone away but at the same time be PROMISING INDUSTRY LEADING?

Your rhetoric puts all of your bias and prejudice on full display. You're just arrogant enough to think you won't be called out on it publicly.

You’re more then welcome to join just expect the occasional Capt Grumpy to blame you for him not having a “better contract”.
To be clear, that 1st year pay raise is only applicable to the 747 / 777. If you're on the 767 / 737, the new contract represents a $1 increase for first year pay.

This Union has always been good at over promising and under delivering, you know that as well as I do.
Don’t make me dig up every email by BK doing exactly that.

Not anti Union, just the wrong Union (few individuals) with a mixed agenda or “narrative.”

Bullying new hires or those flying OT, witnessed both multiple times. Lanyard slamming/pressure, really childish. You already heard of myself being accused of OT, but we hashed it out. Note: Call me direct and never again bother the Capt to put pressure on me on anything - such a spineless act. Call me direct, we’ll talk and see if I can fix and be educated on where I have mistakenly gone astray or intentionally not complied. Promising or not, just using Industry Leading is just insulting, especially when the benchmark was truly industry standard and that fell short, but I do see some great efforts made from many folks/committees and some goodness in some areas and I appreciate their efforts hands down.
*Definitely hopeful this next group will apply lessons learned whatever they specifically were as we all have our outside viewpoints on the subject.

I partially understand the reason why OT is demonized. But some people need to understand that each person has a unique set of circumstances. Not everybody is a single happy guy with no financial obligations or there's a partner at home bringing another salary. Some of us help the family overseas foe example.
I haven't been bullied yet, probably because of the young small fleet. But at some point I'm bidding the 74 and I'd love to face one of the bullies.

It didn’t. Still $1,600 a month for the first 4 months.

I don't think that you'll see people complaining about OT flying going forward. Negotiations are over. If they do complain then I'd 100% agree that there's no point.

Bullying was most likely before your arrival. Exactly regarding the unique situations plus hypocrisy involved. The bullying was 2017-19 range, I haven’t seen/heard much of anything since then. After the in your face court slam dunks, things subsided rapidly.

And yet, here you are, late 2021 still belly aching about it.

How much longer will you bear this cross?
