Currently seeking some valid/up to date info. on this company.
General Pros & Cons?
Any present or past employees can give their take on the company?
What's the salary like for a fledging FO?
Its part 135; how long are the call outs?
Would they be a good source of experience? and a stepping stone to better opportunities?.....HOW LONG TIL ONE COULD UPGRADE? or what's the trend.
Any and all responses welcomed, negative or not.

thanks SD

Not sure about it, but belive they hire their F/o from the line.
They run LJ 35 for both charter and Air ambulance, which might imply living within 1 hour of airport FLL. I belive they fly a fair amount (1000h a Year) with good international experience (central, South and North America)

Good luck

I stopped off to visit them WAAAY back in 1991 when I was living in Miami. I can confirm the hiring from the line guys for FOs. Seems as though they use it as a weedout point for people are not known by them. So if you dont mind working on a ramp in the Florida heat you might find an in.

I've talked to some of their people there. It's true they only hire from line guys. Expect to spend 6-12 months doing that before moving to the right seat. After that, another year or two until you make it to the left one. I've talked to a couple of people that fly 737-800s for Miami Air that spent a few years at National and they can't speak enough good about it.

I almost went there but really didn't think I should be doing line service when I have 1400 hours. Maybe I'll regret it someday, who knows?

national jet pilots are a great group of people my friend worked there for 4year and loved it you get a lot of jet time about 1000-1400 a year and he came on with 400 hours tt this is true he knows central and south america better than most older pilots because they go there so much. he got his capt up greade in 2 years and now no lie he flyes a bbj capt job. at 32 year old he thanks national jet for no were else wouild he have gotten that type of time and exprance to get his bbj job. and a nother guy now flys for toyata and he also came in with little time he worked line for a year then went to the lear and got to capt and left there to fly lear 45 and g550 for toyata and he has around 8000tt 6000 pic jet with came from national jets. hard work to put in but the reward is great in the end
