FedEx Disputed Pairing as SUB

I've emailed the Union but wondering if anyone here knows the answer.

Can I be given a disputed pairing as a SUB trip?

I would decline right off the bat but I have 30 hours of SUB eligibility and this is just 6 hours.

It is not stated in the LOA, but I would assume that sub would be lumped in with reserve assignments (as far as the company is concerned), except of course that you can turn it down. Just another short sighted loop-hole in our current contract.

A call to David Taylor, in contract admin will get you an immediate answer. He is on top of it all; a very sharp fellow. 901-752-8749 ext 2211.

Thanks, talked to David, he said they can give it to me.
I would decline but then I'm in the whole 19 hours not just the 6.

My understanding is, the only way to get assigned a disputed pairing without requesting it (DFT, VLT, MU, VTO, etc) is to get assigned via RSV!

Edit: Just read your above posting! That sucks!

I'd take it.

And I'd fill out a sleep log, write up a complaint to the SIG and to the company.

Your only other option would be to fly some sweet open time. You DON'T want to do that right now. And you need your pay to get ready for any contingencies....

The worst part is that it's a three leg a.m. o&b. no wonder its disputed. I'm on the Bus we're not supposed to have trips like that.
