My policy is... Don't stare.

If a 400-pound guy doesn't need to pay for the extra seat he's using, then maybe I can fly with the missus on my lap since we're less than 400 pounds? We can also move much quicker in an evac.

ROFL !That's funny
If they take up 2 seats then make it where it's the window and middle seat that are only avail to those of big girth .
Had a wonderful flight from the west coast to the east coast sitting in coach on a 757 long ago and there's nothing like having ones body pressed against the sides of your seat.

If we did this, there would be an order to retrofit all aircraft with cargo doors.

That should absolutely be the policy. I shouldn't get to die in a fire because tons-a-fun couldn't get his or her asses and chins moving fast enough to get out the exit. ...or became wedged in the aisle.

I prefer to NOT date them.
At the very least never give them my real phone number. 867-5309.

Airlines could put a coach seat right next to the "your bag must fit in this to be a carry on" contraption and "test fit" each pax.
