Lear 55C into Guanabara Bay, Rio . . .

Subscribe
Aircraft had just departed Santos Dumont Airport, on Rio's waterfront, crew had electrical problems, and returned to Airport.

Upon landing, the Lear 55C of Ocean Air, over ran the runway ending up in Guanabara Bay. (4th biz jet to do this so far, two Lear 55C's, and two Citations).

The crew of 3 were uninjured. Here is a video of the Learjet 'taxiing' in the water, under power - returning to shore.

how does the engine run with that much water in the compressor? Is there a point in which the engine cant take the amount of water being ingested?
