Gotta agree with OP, ewrbasedpilot. Those threads that get sidetracked are put back on the beam by the MODS or if it gets too crazy, they just shut it down, which IMO is good! Most times now if someone attempts to get me in some kind of poignant discussion and the comments come across as being personal, I just don't respond.
Back then, the forum allowed some pretty intense exchanges. I remember one about Affirmative Action. The discussions were intense and formidable, however, the members remained civil. It was a good thread.
On the other hand, for a while thereafter, to me at least, some got real opinionated in their posts and if you didn't see it their way or agree with them on any particular issue then you were perceived as
NOT being one of the boys....so to speak. I'm a team player.....just not that kind.
At any rate, ewr, I remember you back in the day when I first joined APC. It's good to see an "old head" around the forums again.
