The biggest problem is making the leap of faith. Everyone is scared to do it because in the military, things are done for you. Reference the article below. I'm not calling you a female, but the last paragraph of that article says it all.

It seems like the biggest question is: what has more value to you? Job security or quality of life. For me, right now, the two aren't mutually exclusive, so life is good. But I have no idea what will be most important to me in 3 years when my commitment is up.
