Ronald Francis Lemon , 72 , of Fair Grove, MO, took his final flight Heaven bound April 30, 2011. He was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Natick, MA, son of the late Francis Lemon and Marjorie Palmer Lemon. On Nov. 1, 1969, Ron was united in marriage to Beverly Parker Lemon at Van Cleve, MO.
Ron began an aviation career at age 17 when he joined the Air National Guard at Boston’s Logan Airport. He went to work for Continental Airlines in 1962 as a flight engineer and retired as Captain in 1999.

A toast to your pops. Pretty amazing group, some challenging flying in the Pacific before they decided to make runways longer. Did you ever get to fly in the islands? They have some great vintage photos on youtube.

Probably should have phrased my post better RIP was for Ron.

Never did get to ride along on the 727 coral runway days, My dad is still around livin the retired life now, i did get to fly HNL-Narita on his last flight on the 747-200 in 99, you would get a kick out of some of the old pics on his wall at the house.

My mom was a CAL F/A ms Airlines international late 60's i think but we have quite a wall of CAL history in the house Lots of old things from the strike years. 1964-2001 were his years at CAL. He spend 2 years flying for Saudi Airlines during the strike.
