My situation right now...
-19 years old
-soon will be getting PPL, IR, CPL,CFI, CFII, MEI
-about 250 TT 10 ME
-dream to live and fly in europe
-2 european passports
-fluent german
-no clue how to get there

I did come up with a small plan but I highly doubt that it'll comply with european regional airline standards and requirements.
Plan is getting all the above stated ratings through the FAA. Then get my CPL converted over to JAA/CAA or whatever it may be. So far I have found one school that will convert it over for around $6000 and give me the 14 exams. By the time I get all this done, I'll be truning 21 just in time for a ATPLw. ok where should I take the ATPLw? europe or here in the states. If I do it here am I going to converted it again? please any help would be greatly appriciated and anything I've left out please fill it in. I'd rather take the miserable a** cold truth now before its too late. thank you very much.

I have another one, if I hold a jar license and seeking jobs in europe, which most airlines expect you to pay for it yourself. Is it possible to get type rated here in the US and use that in europe? because type ratings are like twice as much over there. thanks

Hey, are you German? If so try the Lufthansa. They have a training program and even pay it. You will have to pay back but you have a pretty secure job because you only have to pay back, if they hire you. If you want more information I could probably find out some more. I currently live in Germany, dual US/German citizen so I might be able to help you out. Feel free to PM me for any questions or if you want to you can ask here. I would be glad to help.

Cheers
