Just tried to download Europe charts like I've always done into GoodReader and no worky. Seems to me the the charts used to be .pdf's but now they're something else.

Anyone know the dealio? I want the LIDO's on my iPad! I've searched prior threads and none of the recommendations seem to work!

Can anyone hook a brother up? Danke!

Not sure what happened, but I just downloaded a set of charts into ReaddleDocs. They are still PDF. Readdle handles the zip file. I don't recall that GoodReader does. Instead, you have to sync to iTunes to move the charts in using the file sharing section under iPad|Apps. There will be one file that is not a PDF, the LIDO change bulletin that downloads.

How did you try to add the charts?

Thanks for the gouge. I will try that. I tried using the web browser function in GoodReader but it won't show the fies as .pdf. I am pretty sure it used to. I am totally frustrated.......

ReadleDocs recognizes Lido as .pdf but GoodReader no longer does for me. Still at a loss........

Are you adding the charts to chart order and then printing? That's what I do and it still works.

I just tried that but it is a .jsp file. GoodReader doesn't recognize it, and tries to open it up as a .txt file. I know it used to work beautifully before. I updated GoodReader, now it doesn't like the Lido......

easiest thing to do is download them on your computer and move them to goodreader using dropbox

How big are they? I downloaded a chart for my China trip last year, it took a while for it to load because it was so big. About useless when it did.

RFC (enroute) charts don't work out too well. They are large and take too long to load. The airport (AOI, AGC, SID, STAR, IAC, etc.) all load great and are easy to use.

Check top box for "File Name" (puts check in all boxes), "Chart order", "Print". When it comes up (15-30 seconds with decent wifi connection), tap "open with Goodreader" in top right corner. If ur slow on the draw (RETIRE!, no, no j/k), tap center of screen to re-cue Goodreader prompt. Easy like buttuh! If that doesn't work, u might try reloading Goodreader. I just loaded PVG to check it and had no prob. Also, from "Documents" page in Goodreader, there is a "?" on the bottom right. Touch that, then "troubleshooting" prompt is second from bottom. Didn't see a reset to factory settings, but lots of PDF discussion. Good luck.
