i have 35 hours logged in the right seat of our museums B17G, I was humbled, and amazed that kids with 200 hours TT took these ships across the pond and into battle against the luftwaffe, 50,000 and change didn't make the return trip,the greatest generation indeed.

Really cool, and I learned to fly at Hayward.

Not "Aluminum Overcast", but I took this photo at the Narrows Airport a few years ago. As I was crawling through the bombay, it was sobering to think of the history these aircraft represent to our country.
