I'll add the guys/gals who verbalize the assigned altitude/heading/airspeed they just set on the panel while I'm in the middle of reading the clearance back to ATC. Gimme a second and we can verify it when the mic isn't keyed.

Maybe not toolish, but distracting to say the least.

Why are you even listening to the ground crew at that point?
I used to toggle it off until I finished calling for push.


But that's just me. Never found any captain to be a tool for talking on a freq I wasn't listening to.
