I never understood why people fly around with the lights off..
Personally I sleep better with the screens dim and the dome light off... but hey that's me. After all... why should I sleep on my own time?

I didn't miss the sarcasm.

Whenever I fly with a CA who wants to keep the cockpit dark, I point out that there's a reason the cabin lights are dimmed for our 10pm departure, and it isn't so the pax can see outside.

So are pajamas but at least they don't scream, "I'm a doctor!"

1. What's wrong with being proud you're a doctor?

2. Pretty much everybody in the hospital wears scrubs these days. Nurses, OR techs, Med Students, Physical Therapists...

PS. Lots of people use a personal set of scrubs as sleepwear. They're that good

Same as wearing your pilot uniform when your not at work. TOOL! Unless you are going to or coming from work, one does not wear your uniform around town.

If I have to keep explaining this to you, well, you know what you are.

What a TOOLISH post. The guy was referring to being single and 48 and you start talking about your wife and your toys! Your prob the guy who whips out pics of both when no one asked to see them. Buddy's with mdculpepper?!

Nope. They were part of the package when I married her.

I'm waiting to see if I'll need my strike fund before I think about toys like that. Meanwhile, I just borrow hers when I want to go ride. You jealous that my wife shows up naked?

When I was a F/O and a Capt. would show me pictures of his toys, I'd say, "You got any naked pictures of your wife?"

And he'd say "NO!"

And then I'd say, "Want some?" and start to reach for my suitcase.

Oh, and on the Scrubs in the Airport, I always go to the liquor store in my full uniform, with hat on, and ask for the Airline Discount, then as I check out I loudly say, "Could you hurry it up? I'm late for my departure..."
