After the award is posted, supposed to be 20th at 5pm, there are 2 seniority open time sessions/day for the awarded month. The sessions run from 7pm-midnight and 7am-noon. The current month remains in first come/first serve.

The last day of the month (30/31st) there is an all day seniority split trip open time where you can split trips in open time. I believe that lasts from midnight-midnight.

On the 1st it is supposed to be first come/first serve open time, running constantly. (I find this one to start at random times but always on the 1st)

Of course this is how it is supposed to run, the company basically runs what ever they feel like, and the union lacks the balls to enforce our contract.

Your union lacks a lot of things.

You do realize there is a grievance process involved right. This process itself hinders the union (I believe) in enforcing the contract only because of the turnover time involved with the process is quite long. The company will drag their feet as much as possible and before you know it a year might have passed. If it was simple as giving them a date of strike and following through with it, I doubt that they will be trying to circumvent the contract any chance they get.

with this option i keep getting a result (excuse) "low reserve coverage"
is there any way around this?

with this option, can anyone split their trip anyway they want? example drop all but the first leg of a three day? or will the company deny what ever i put up like they have been denying me with option one with so far?

is this also the time frame when you can start the swapping with other crew members?

thanks again

Reserve coverage is set on the 27th, I think. Until then all trades must be day for day.

Split open time is still seniority based trip pick-ups and does not allow trades or drops.

The 1st usually after 7pm becomes a free for all - if reserve coverage is there and all the other list of rules are met, it's first come first serve until the 20th again.

The only other addition is that you can swap with other crew members at any time 24 hours/day. The only exception is after the bid is closed and before it is awarded (14th at 5pm through 20th at 5pm) you can not make any changes to your last 7 days of your schedule. That would affect the award processing.
