I am a retired military pilot with 6,000 hours, currently on furlough from a major airline. I like to stay up to date on hiring trends, or as of late furlough trends. I try to gauge the quality of prospective employers by the how hostile its pilots are in the forums. I like to think that I may have some control over the company that hires me, and this illusion gives me some comfort.
