Fell short of the adjusted operating margin by 2.5% so no raise. 12 year FO rate is $132.84 TFP.

So an F/O that's maxed on their TFP rate would have to work how many days to make 200K annually? Assume about 6K for per diem included, mid-level seniority in base, and "working the system" a good bit.

122 TFP per month across the year, at least by my math.

By my calculation thats 16-18 days per month depending on how you work the system. If you have the seniority to pull some open time, even less.

If you're willing to sit reserve and pick up extra in between, you could easily make much more but you'd also be working 20 days/mo.

Yeah, but don't SWA reserve F/Os get used a lot? As far as "having seniority to pull some open time", how senior are you talking about as far as a percentage in seat?

You can be in the bottom 20% and make 145-165 TFP/mo working reserve and picking up out of giveaway/open-time and working 20-22 days. I've seen dudes do it month in and month out. It's way more days than I want to work and yes, you will get used on reserve more often than not.

Even without open time, I could get 120TFP/mo by just flying my line and picking up everything I can out of giveaway. My experience is you will hit the 100hr/mo limit at straight time around 120-125TFP.

I'm not senior enough to pull much open time (bottom 20%) so I can't tell you exactly what you'd need to play the system. Of course it's also going to depend on your domicile. But as the most senior FO's in several domiciles are already former AT pilots, who are definitely pulling a lot of the FO open time, maybe you should ask them?

Personally I don't like working over 15 days. It interferes with life. I work 90-105 TFP and usually work 13-15 days.

Thanks. That helps. Not exactly what I was hoping to hear, but......

So unless you're senior in you base/seat (say less than 30%), crediting an average 120 TFP monthly with 15 days off is pretty unrealistic, huh?

My guess is that would put you in the 100-110TFP class at straight pay an just using ELITT and giveaway. Easily do-able at most seniority levels.

Your ability to get more would be totally dependent on your in-domicile seniority, your ability to hawk ELITT/Open time, and how much you want to hang your schedule on the company's desires. Can't give you hard numbers on that. The system caters to people who want to watch the computer a lot, and are willing to move their scheds around.

If you're coming over with 10+ years of longevity you're in the 4 weeks of vacation a year club. During those months you can score 130TFP+ which lowers your non-vacation month pace down to 115TFP to average 120 a month for the year.

Thanks. That's probably true, but is that assuming that you work over your vacation week(s) during those months right, or is that assuming that you still enjoy your off time during those vacation weeks.

While it's nice to make good coin, I don't want to kill myself to make 200K a year. It's just that during this phuckjob, I'm losing my seat. I'm losing my seniority, I'm going to have less bidding power as an F/O in my new base than I do as a Cptn. in my current base. So the only thing I'm trying to find some mental relief in is playing the system (I am a scheduling system player as much as possible) over on the SWA partition and making good money in relationship to the number of days worked.
