Quote: Tonight I will raise a glass of Ensure to greedy gummers everywhere. Thanks for GTFO!
I love it! I was gonna drink a nice Glenfiddich I only pull out for special occasions, but I may do the Ensure as well.

Quote: The only ALPA pilot who has his 65th birthday on the 13th is an American Eagle Sim Instructor. Five years ago when the law changed, ALPA called him and told him congrats- you're the oldest flying 121 pilot. Not sure about SWAPA/ USAPA/ IPA/ APA.

As in the first post- congrats on fine careers to all those soon to ride off into the sunset!
Funny Tim Mullane at comair had the same situation. He would be on hhis flight today. But don't your story sounds good.

Non 121 retirements?
I wonder what the retirements will be like on the corporate and 135 side? Sans a definitive age 65 rule, I am not aware of a good way to track or quantify that group of pilots.

One would imagine the amount of retirements will begin trending further and further higher.

I have heard a few stories of a few over 65 guys who keep plugging away. Did anyone see the story of that Baron that crashed in Illinois the other day? The pilot was 74. Granted, he was an owner in the company, but still hard at it til the end. God bless.

One of the pilots in the Jenni Rivera crash was 78.

Got some Brugal white rum for tomorrow night, and if the United JCBA passes on the 15th, I may have to sip on some Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac.

When I get home from this trip it'll be a heavy dose of Maker's for me.

You guys are High Rollers! I thought you were Airline Pilots!

About all I can afford is a 6 pack of Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA.

I'll be watching Jay Lenno at midnight, with a beer in hand.

Here's to a long, happy, healthy retirement for all the 65yr. olds.

Salute!

While we're all raising fancy drinks to celebrate the 65's, they're probably bulking up on Cialis and having their own fancy parties to "raise up" something...
