I have never jumped intl on the CAL side but numerous times on UAL. Every single time I have been given biz class. I have heard this is not standard practice at CAL in the past. Looking to jump to FRA next week and wondering if I should stick to LUAL metal in hopes of the best possible seat or is LCAL metal worth a shot? Never the less, the free lift in C or Y is still a tremendous privilege and I cant thank you all enough!

Up until early last year LCAL Capt's were not permitted to courtesy upgrade jumpseaters. An OPS Manual change now permits Capt's to place jumpseaters in any class of service.
