OAK crashpad?

Subscribe
My son (not a pilot, age 24) just relocated to OAK to take a job with Fedex. He needs a temp crashpad in OAK till he gets settled in. Anybody know of a crashpad, or an apartment he could sublet for a month or two?

Thanks for any help!

Great crew rates at the LaQuinta.

Very few crash pads in OAK due to the fact you need a car to get to them. Quite a few hotels near the airport--better ones are right outside the entrance and not in the 'hood across from the Raiders stadium. Try the Red Lion or Holiday Inn & Suites (which FedEx uses to put guys up during long sits). Both have restaurants as does the Days Inn. Other options are the Quality Inn and the Best Western. Walking around the stadium area has proven to be a sure way to be liberated from one's wallet while staring down the business end of a crackhead's 9mm!

Quality Inn is my recommendation but at $45 a night it might be better to rent w/car. I did make it to the grocery store in the daytime there but was ready to make a run for it at any time.
