I heard last night that EWR was closing as a hub as of April 1. They are getting rid of ops and most of the FedEx managers. Anyone else hear this or know anymore?

The 757 bidpack still has the apr c/o trip btv/syr/ewr/iad.

My bad that is April bid month but last week of March.

I was up there a week and half ago and asked during the hub turn why it was so quite. The reply was "dunno but there have been less flights". Nothing about closing...

There is supposed to be some big announcement tomorrow...Friday

Standard ops, drop the bomb at 5pm on Friday.

They are going to continue to use EWR.

Operations is being shutdown. Coordinate through maintenance is the plan. Similar to Oakland Operations.
