Polite reminder...

June Disputed Pairings in the 757 are trips: #63, #64, #169 and #171

These trips involve various sequences between PWM, SYR, BTV, EWR and IAD which the SIG feels are fatiguing to a 2 man 757 crew.

Young or old, experienced or inexperienced, Capt or FO --- let's all realize the short term and long term ramifications of voluntarily flying these type of trips.

....and just say "No Thanks" to picking up any of them in Open Time.

In Safety and Unity,

I would like to think that long gone are the days where the ...."sky-#hores" .....pick up everything in open time, so they can pay off their Ferraris and ex-wives. Stand-fast amigos, and don't give in to your personal greed by picking these trips up. You might win a few extra pesos, but ultimately we'll all pay the price. Short term gain is not worth the long term pain.......

from what i understand, the 757 trip is disputed because you basically get 2 hub turns. How does the SIG want it fixed? Later departure out of EWR for a shorter layover in SYR? Had this trip in the 727 one winter...not fun getting de-iced 10 times out of 12 legs in a week.

It is fixed for the carryover trip into July. The company removed the EWR-IAD and the IAD-EWR leg each night. If they could do it for the carryover, why couldn't they do it for the remainder of the month? Of course the answer is because they didn't have to. This is the 3rd month of the 757 doing this trip. The DP process takes 3 months. I believe just less than half these trips have been picked up voluntarily.

Heard a rumor a while back that IAD-EWR might go to an ATR. Maybe that's what happened to the carryover trip.

Looks like a senior 757 F/O picked up a couple of the deadhead trips 171 on the 10th and 24th. The captains seem to be holding out.

This FO has picked up DPs before.

First disputed 777 trip went to a F/O on reserve, and a Captain on reserve. They had to split the trip for the Captain.

If they all went this way the company would stop building them.
