I apologize for this, and I may get some flak for it, but I am interested in applying for the new JetBlue hiring and training program that incorporates brand new pilots.
I know many of you are highly qualified with flawless records yet can't get an interview. I'm not a fan of that, however, this is still an opportunity for someone like me and any help would be appreciated if I can get an idea of how to move forward with applying.
I am probably overqualified for this, as well, but I feel it's worth at least trying.
Do any of you have any recommendations of who to contact about this program? I'd like to start getting my name out there.
Thank you for any help.

What I mean by that is that JB will want this program to be filled with EXACTLY the kind of (pilot?) they want. My guess is that for the first 20, they'll find them not the other way around. Its also sort of a sore spot amongst, well, everyone who has any sort of experience. Itll be hard to find any real info from anyone other than the JB recruiting department. That is the only source I would go with.

Remember how I kept saying 2.5 year upgrades were for people hired 2.5 years ago and your experience will be different......
This was my point. We have reduced deliveries down to 10 this year and we are moving out several airplanes a month for cabin refresh. Growth will be much slower for the next 2 than the previous 2. Expect upgrade times to climb higher over the next few years.

I believe it is only 20 or so people initially from whenever they actually get it rolling. Id say itll be in the same category of "if you have to ask how much, you cant afford it."

As I implied earlier I probably have a very low chance especially since I'm not a 0 hour pilot, but you can't win it unless you're in it. Not making an inquiry guarantees I will not get a slot.
If I get a "No Thanks" then I'll move on and continue working as I am now.
Thank you very much for the response. I'll try to get a hold of the JetBlue Recruiting Department.
Does anyone here recommend the best way to contact them? E-mail, phone, walk-in, etc.?
Thank you

I understand it is a sore spot, but I am an upstanding and hard working person. If JetBlue is going to run this program it would be in every Pilot's best interest to promote good people for the openings, given they have an opportunity to, of course.

I can tell you one thing. You won't be flying with me. Anyone that goes through that program, if it ever gets off the ground, will not be sitting in my right seat. I am not a babysitter. There are thousands of qualified pilots out there that will be getting shafted by this atrocity. You will be labeled and shunned.
I figure I'll just do all crosswind landings, instrument approaches, and anything else I feel like. I don't see myself spending the rest of my career worrying about under qualified FO's creating headaches for me.

I keep trying to get onto the hiring site to apply, but it says no pilot positions are available. How do I update an ap when I can not apply?
