Short of Priceline and the other sites, anyone know of Airline Employee deals in ANC over the summer? I'm taking the family and would like something reasonably nice (Hilton, or Capt. Cook) but would like to avoid the the $250/night pricetag. I know it's tourist season, but are there any deals?

Former military, yes. Retiree, no. Bummer.

When I took a family vacation to AK a few years ago, we rented a motor home. It was much more reasonable than a hotel, and its a really fun way to see Alaska. Might not be what your looking for, but something to consider.
