757 Disputes:
#62 10,17,24 August
#145 12 August
#146 19 August
#147 26 August

Disputed Pairing 62, 145, 146, 147: We feel the long sit in SYR on the EWR-SYR-BTV sequence followed by the short layover is excessively fatiguing causing cumulative sleep loss over the footprint of the pairing. Your feedback on this pairing is requested.

In Safety....and Unity,

Very nice job during the Carry In Conflict & Secondary Line processes!

All trips still "Open" in both seats.

Thanks for posting DLax85. I was assigned that EWR-SYR-BTV pairing, while on reserve on the 727. It was painful.

But, that was 2 years ago. What needs to happen for DP's to go away? How long can a DP continue to exist, month after month? Do we know how many DP's have been resolved over the years? Just curious about how the process works (or not)...

Hopefully the DP process is improved for our next CBA.

The exact process is spelled out you know where. Essentially after 3 months the VP of Flight Ops makes the yes or no final decision on the disputed pairing. Usually he decides the pairing is ok with him. Not picking up a DP can influence his decision, but it is his decision. There are no hard and fast rules.

In truth the only truly effective means for dumping a DP, or for that matter, dumping a pairing that sucks but is not a DP is for guys who fly it and get fatigued to call in fatigued.

Well, that didn't take long. Two taken immediately.

In the left seat --- yes --- very disappointing leadership.

...and a new 757 FO --- though, certainly not new to the company.

(Note: Consolidation is not a valid excuse.)

Let's all continue to communicate & educate.

That's just sad! And dissappointing!

Shouldn't their Block Rep contact the pilots to make sure they are made aware of the "process" and politely ask them to change their behavior?
