How to phrase this, so that the CFO types understand it

Hypothetical example is Pilot Jones may be "forced to another plane" due to in-house career policies, but he wants to stay on his airplane. I guess assume a Lear-60 captain who loves the 60 , he is being forced over to the Citation X (and will no longer fly nor be sent to recurrent on the 60)

that is the same general concept, Pilot Jones wants to submit a memo/etc to management stating that it is more cost effective for the company to keep him in-place, and that his skills and experience on the Lear-60 are not easily replaced overnight.

etc etc

any ideas on key phrases / words / concepts that CFO types will say "gee, you sure are correct"
