Part 121 ATP failure

Hello fellow aviators. I need a bit of advice from some of you. I have come from a Part 121 airline before and have 1500TT. I am currently in another part 121 and passed ground school and got signed off for the ATP checkride yesterday for CL-65 type rating. Unfortunately, yesterday i did not pass my checkride with my new 121 and I will be retrained tomorrow and have to retake the checkride again. I actually had a death in the family and I guess I got over it but mentally maybe it had some effect on my preparation and I should have asked for some time off before the checkride, however I did get signed off for the checkride a day before on my stagecheck. I have a few questions.

1. Whether or not I continue with this current airline , will this ATP failure be on my record

2. Second question is lets say I do not do well on my retrain session and decide to quit voluntarily, will I have to report this to whichever airline i apply?

3. And if i do have to report being a 121 experienced before and with this latest 121 atp failure, will this hurt my chances on getting on with another 121 regional airline and I know some airlines are picky on that but what airlines can I apply to that might still call me for an interview despite this latest failure

ATP failure is probably the roughest to have on your checkride. The others tend to be far in your past, with plenty of time you can explain you learned and matured.
Make it through the checkride, get on the line, and keep a clean record. Get a couple of PCs and recurrents under your belt without issue. Don't minimize the failure or make excuses for it, just admit you didn't come prepared, but show that afterward you've had no issues.

This is a better question for your training department. Which airline? Under certain AQP style "checkrides" it does not result in a pink slip. Good luck man.

Yes. You filled out an 8710, correct? They should have given you a pink slip.

You will have to report all of this to any 121/135 operation. They will do a PRIA request and get the records from your former employer anyway, so lying would be followed in short order by firing. Part 91 will ask, but you may be able to get away with lying to them if you are of sufficiently poor moral character to lie about something like this in the first place.

Don't fail the re-test. Two failures followed by termination will be MUCH worse than a single failure, followed by a successful re-test and then years of trouble-free 121 recurrent training. It will be a lot easier to explain stumbling on the ATP ride for an airplane that you're new to. Hopefully you didn't fly the CRJ before...

Figure what you need to do to get in the right frame of mind. Do you need some time off? If so, ask for that, given the family situation I'm sure they'll accommodate.

If you feel you're better of doing the ride while everything is very fresh in your mind, then go nail it. Don't spend energy worrying about what ifs, just go pass the checkride.

Somebody will hire you but it might be the likes of Mesa, or some other company you really don't want to work at.

I'd be more concerned with the majors. An FO failing his ATP ride years ago...you can probably get over that. But don't get two failures and a 121 termination.

If you're getting a type and/or ATP, then it's a real checkride with an 8710 and a pink slip waiting.

During recurrent training, some AQP evolutions do not result in a PRIA-reportable failure. The line-oriented evaluation is the "jeopardy event", but they will be sure to tell you that.

Not the end of the world. I failed my ATP oral in a 121 company check ride.
Three years of clean flying later and I'm at the best job I've ever had. And happy.
