Caution: UPS is not a career move.
No positive comments (or any at all) from anyone working for Brown speaks volumes.

UPS mgt is run by unethical jellyfish that will do anything to squeeze dividends out of your families pockets and into theirs. They have absolutely NO commitment to the contract and will violate it and FAR's to move boxes. In the end they would move boxes and violate you (turn you into FEDs) if it meant more profits.

Not a place to work for a career when we have 200 strike breakers already on property.

I've got some very good friends at UPS. They make a billion every quarter and furloughed 109. Most of these guys left jobs for a better life. I wonder how they feel now with a furlough and 20 year upgrades.

UPS is now a mature airline with very little space to grow numerically. While they may experience a growth in volume that will result in utilization of larger aircraft not more airplanes and more seats.
If I was looking at UPS for a career move I would look at the number of seats currently available and the number of retirements projected over the span of the time I would have in the balance of my career, this would give you the approximate time for upgrade. IMO, if you are over thirty five I would look elsewhere unless you will be satisfied with the bulk of your career in the right seat and then a very junior Captains seat for the balance. Note: Due to the work schedules and international , backside of the clock flying about 10% of the pilots medical out before retirement.
The original projection of total number of pilots on the property was about 1700 and we are now at 2500 with people on the street. UPS has moved to reduce the number of aircraft and people to operate them with every business decision about the airline, including how much they can move by any other cheaper method , aka, trucks.
UPS will do what ever it takes to reduce their costs to move a package. This includes violating any CBA they may have and pushing the regulations to the limit.
If you can survive it the IPA has made UPS a lucrative place to work and we have a good group of pilots, you can still have fun just don't ever expect to be appreciated by management.
Something to consider our divorce rate is in excess of 50%.

Quote: That may even be a bit optimistic at UPS.....I am planning my life on never being a captain here.....

Paid as a FO and spending money like a FO for life....

Definitely not the course I signed up for.......

I guess that mean there will be a HUGE pay increase for FO's in the next TA!!
