What is the title and location of the job? The SIDA zones all require a TSA (FBI) background checks and some felonies are disqualifying, but not all. See the first thread linked below. We have had this discussion here many times before, use the search window at the upper right to locate more discussions. It does not change much as a topic, but this is a pilot forum so obviously most (all) replies have to do with pilot background checks. Certain areas of major airports are called GA (General Aviation) ramps, and some do not comply with TSA-SIDA screening, but most or all do. I do know that some or many smaller airports, namely Class C and D towered airports, will often have zones that are not SIDA- compliant to keep the security fuss to a minimum since airlines are a smaller portion of the total traffic they handle.
Can you be an airline pilot with a felony?
Felony conviction
