Just wanted some clarification. I heard the Commercial Pilot Airplane(CAX) bank is more or less the same as the CFI-A exam, which in turn is the same as the AGI written. Any truth to this?

The AGI covers everything, airplanes, balloons, gliders, helos. So I'd say it's more than just the CAX question bank.
