Distress Call

Today about 40 miles south of Battleground we picked up a distress call on guard, something about a loss of oil pressure. The transmission was very broken but we managed to pick up bits and pieces by adjusting the squelch. The time was 8:45AM PST/1545 Zulu. Sounded like the pilot was flying a Piper and setting up for a forced landing. Aside from us, Southwest and a few other airlines were attempting to communicate with him and relay information to ATC. Again, it was tough to make out exact words, but I heard something about "going down" and "Mount Helena." (?)

Anybody else hear this or know the outcome? Praying for those involved.

RIP...what a tragedy. Very weird feeling to hear the transmission. We were both hoping he'd be okay
