Can anyone post or PM me what an actual trip looks like? I'm just used to a typical 121 regional 4 day trip.
I'm curious to see report times, flight hours and layover times. After reading this thread it looks like your trips can vary from 2-15 days.

The mode trip shows sometime between 1:30am and 4am in Memphis with one leg out 11 to 15 hour layover and return to Memphis between 11pm and 1am and pays 6 hours. Other than that you can get any trip you can imagine. Domestic trips can range from a series of the above 5 times in a row to 5/6 day trips doing similar things into IND, AFW, and OAK. International trips will be from 5 to 14 days with 24 to 36 hour layovers between 6 to 16 hour legs. The variety is really to varied to detail, but plan on doing your share of night hub turns. The money is great, the hours suck, but you will work much less block than your counterparts at United or SW. Your W2 will be plenty big, but come to work at FDX for the ability to manage your schedule after a couple of years. No PBS and an incredible ability to use vacation to get plenty of days off in a row.

Apologies for asking the same thing twice. I am having a hard time finding retirement numbers other than the limited info. on APC. Could someone tell me what I could accept as far as career progression for a new hire. When could one hold a 777 FO intl. line? When would Upgrade occur... Etc

Much appreciated!

Quote: I'm not a FedEx pilot just yet but I think I can help a bit:

Go to pilotcredentials.com, click the FedEx link and look under the qualifications tab. You'll see what you currently need to be considered for employment by FedEx. They may ask for less in a few years, but this is your target now. I'd say go to the regionals because you need multi-engine turbine time or jet time.
Thank You!!! Ill check it out!

Moving targets. It would be hard to answer that question with any real certainty.

Nobody can tell the future. But the magic 8 ball says, if you got hired right now, it's looking good. Guys on probation holding 757 captain training slots, newhires going directly into the right seat of 777's. I just checked for you, looks like a bunch of new 777 first officers got secondary lines this month, and were given international trips. However, you don't know that you would be one of the pilots going directly into the 777, and could have to wait for the next bid. If you get hired at the end of their hiring binge, and the economy goes down the tubes, the magic 8 ball says you shouldn't get furloughed (never happened at FedEx), but you could be the junior guy on reserve on the 757.

Who knows? The economy keeps pumping, the hiring continues, you move quickly. It doesn't, you don't.

I appreciate the info. Comparing Delta and FedEx seniority, both would have you at the 50th percentile in 10 years. Does that continue at a similar rate? Sorry APC only has 10 years of retirements.

Tanks.

Only been on the line for 6 months but every Captain I have flown with is retiring well before 65. So the retirement numbers on APC and other sources are completely wrong FWIW.
