I read the article. Looks good on paper. Lots of "probablies," "probables," "possiblies," "possibles" and "appearses," though.

Not sure how helpful it would be in the dark, in the soup, and in the moment.

The industry needs to start training this stuff. In the meantime, at least someone who has a bit more knowledge might have a fighting chance and not be completely blindsided. That is my hope, anyway. I can't fix airline training, but can do a small part.

AF447 back in the news. Sure the issues at Boeing prompted the lawyers to try this one again.
