Carb icing

The good doc does well after what sounds like carb ice.

Amazing how susceptible aircraft are to carb ice even at cruise. Here is an Australian article and chart that are pretty good:

How do you know it's carb ice? If it was, one would think he would have pulled carb heat on. In a Cessna 150 if the engine is having any issues there are only the basic items to check: fuel on both (or maybe try individual left/right), ignition to both, mixture full rich/in, and carb heat on.

Article said engine ran rough then pulled carb heat and it quit. Pilot said he thought icing. Don't know for sure it was.
