Default QOL at ASA?

I have a interview with ASA coming up in the next two weeks and was looking for any comments on QOL at ASA from anyone flying there now and how's life in ATL and LAX for the pilots.

First of all ...Good Luck in the interview. I have been here 8 months and just got off of reserve on the CR7. QOL depends on many things such as are you going to commute? married? can you live off 19$ hr your first year? only 10 days off a month on reserve only which 4 are set in stone. The other are floating days off (meaning the schedulers can change them to another day anytime they want.) Right now we are very short on pilots and that means the lines arent as nice...a lot of 4 day trips and a lot of time away from base. If you are based in ATL expect to deadhead A LOT. We are close to finishing up contract which will make things here a lot better than they are now. But no one really knows when that contract will actually finish. Flying out of ATL is ok but you have to be patient and always expect to be late. Busiest airport and our ramp operations arent efficient enough (slowly changing for the better) slow us down quite a bit. Havent heard too much about LAX it is just starting up...so a lot of kinks need to be worked out. Dont know if this helped any but i cant really think of anything else. Remember to check out the gouge on the interview on aviationinterviews.com if you havent already. And it is FREE...

Her name was Kelly Flynn. Its changed now. I used to be a ramp agent for ASA back in 1999 (hopefully not one of those inefficient ones talked about above) and I was an aspiring pilot and would talk to airline pilots when I saw them at work. I saw this blonde lady and asked her where she got her lisencs and she told me she flew B-52's in the USAF. Me being a military aviation history buff, when I got home I realized there were no female B-52 pilots except for........ then it hit me. I never asked her about it cause I didnt want to embarass her. But another pilot pilot told me who she was. That was years ago though. I didnt realize she still worked there.

Thanks for the correction...I thought she was still there...She got off too easy for what she did.

A great look into the life of RSRV....a couple of questions about ATL...during a typical month of RSRV, can you tell me 1) where do most live i.e. crashpad and cost, 2) how many days a week on RSRV and the typical RSRV hours. 3) Do you know of many that commute from Charlotte NC area? 4) with 8 months RSRV, are you on-target for 19K a pear (my estimate is hourly x 1000 = annual income)....Thanks for the QOL post!!
