[Also, the airplane stays at the outstation Saturday through Monday afternoon. ]

So where do you live? It sounds like the outstation would be the best "home" since you're there all day and on weekends, but you must have a place to sleep overnight at the central station. Plus, if you set up a home at the outstation it seems likely that the outstations would change often. I am confused about lifestyle if you work a job like this. How does living work in practice?

Typically you will live at your outstation base. There are some exceptions to the rule. Routes generally start Monday night and you will fly to the hub. Company will provide housing at night. In the morning you will fly back to the outstation and have the day off at home. This repeats through the week. You will get done Saturday morning and your weekend will start until Monday night. There are different route structures, but you would need to talk to the company to get the specifics.

Also, outstations do not usually change. It’s a very stable job and seniority doesn’t mean anything. If you get a route, it is your route, senior pilots cannot take it from you.
