Rjboy, no one knows anything!!!!!!!!!! Will it be Pinnacle, SKW, AWAC, MAG, RAH or someone else? NO ONE KNOWS its ALL RUMORS and nothing more. People can say they heard this and heard that from their friend, Mgmnt, MEC or VP but it's all “hear say.” Us the search function and you can read about everybody’s friend that’s supposedly in the loop.

No offense intended it's just that the topic has been well argued.

Didn't realize DAL still had some more RFP's out there. What are they looking for in terms of how many aircraft and where they are putting them?

Shortly after entering Ch.11, DL reconfirmed the existing SKW and ASA flying (everything that belongs to SKW, Inc).

The RFP under discussion was a post-bankruptcy re-bidding of ALL non-SKW Inc DL regional flying. Basically all of the current regional providers (except SKW) have been fired and are reapplying for their own flying (and maybe somebody elses flying too). I think there is some actual NEW 700 flying in there too.

SKW was awarded a handful of COMAIR airplanes, but the rest of it is still unnannounced. Word on the street is that the awards have been made, and the various regionals are being allowed to make the announcements at their discretion.

originally roughly 143 airplanes worth, 50 CRJ-200's, 50 CRJ-700's (12 already awarded to SkyW) and 43 CRJ-900's (new flying).

SKW has also already been awarded some of the 900 flying out of ALT.

If you're talking about our PIT, MEM, and MKE runs, that's not the 900 flying I'm talking about. That was awarded to us a while ago. These 43 have not been awarded to anyone. This is of course according to Brad Holt. (a higher up at SkyW for those of you that don't know)

Make their own annoucements? What are they all waiting for then? At least one of the companies would have said something by now.

JetJock is right. All rumors, except for the 12 planes from Comair.

Feb 1st is the day that DAL will announce all of that.
That is from their DCI people. It may pass but that is what they have been saying down in ATL.

The 12 planes that SKW got from Comair were agreed upon in the sale of ASA to SKW. This tidbit of info came out during the bankruptcy proceedings. Delta made it seem as though the 12 70's were awarded as part of the RFP to get us (Comair) on the band wagon and sign to some concessions. Our current situation has imposed terms happening Feb 2 unless something happens prior. Is it any coincidence that this is when Delta is announcing the award to the RFP?!?! All sorts of rumors abound of course, so I'll spare you.
