I thought you had enough people leave for SKW that you could support a much bigger class than that.

Well they thought about it, but they saw how bad the pay was and rethought about it. I think only 1-2 actually left for skywest.

I posted in the other thread too, but we are losing something like an average of 15/month, yet haven't had a new hire class since the end of October/sometime in November. It doesn't add up. We are still overstaffed also, at least just looking at open time. Also, no Captain upgrades since, hmm, something like September? Even though we are losing 5-10 captains a month.

I'm not real sure about being overstaffed anymore. I know ORF might be a little fat on FO's but some friends in PHL are flying almost every day on RSV. DCA guys are getting used quite a bit as well. Captain upgrades are supposed to resume in April/May. Who knows what they have planned.

A lot of talk about guys making lateral moves to SKYW.... but based on the resignation lists that doesn't make any sense either. I know of one FO who has gone to ASA and another who is going to a completely different job altogether.

Its a great place to be... and we've lost 30 pilots so far in 2007 (as of Feb. 20th) For a pilot group that is a little bigger than 800 in size.... thats quite a few people (3.75%). Guys leaving for CAL, Netjets, SWA, etc.
