Come to SWA they love NJA pilots. I hope they reduce the PIC mins soon for those FO's who wish to pursue it but don't have the time. The 73 must be a lot easier to fly than the Airbus, training was easy and the job is infinitely easier than NJA.

To each his own and the important thing is doing what it is that makes you happy. For me, no regrets at all. NJA is basically reserve for life only much worse without the airline work rules. Good luck to all in achieving their objectives whatever they may be.

I love the guys who leave and knock this place , give me a break, there are those of us who genuinely enjoy this job, some of us have actually flown 121 too. You know what ? To each their own, it is the greatest hiring environment in a generation everybody should go to a place where they can be genuinely happy, this place works for me and my familia, the wee jet is ok by me, so was the 747, it's all good , find your niche, be happy. Cheers out : )

The problem is that there are FAR more folks at NJ who are unhappy, stuck in a dead-end FO job, miserable, than there are who enjoy the place. So it makes sense that those who left would tell those that remain what it's like outside of NJ. And yes, it's better...much better.

I don't see anyone knocking it. I was there, during and after the Santulli era, and gave my perspective of NJA vs LCC 121. You're new to NJA but I'm glad things are working out for you. However, I wouldn't call a regional a '121' job no more than I'd call the 135 mom and pops backing up NJA flying 'NetJets'. Even the crappy LCC's (NK/F9/G4) are far better than a regional and a like kind comparison should be made. I write a lot of letters for guys looking to move on so I know the mood over there a bit. I was asked and I answered.

I flew 727s for a "National" carrier, loved it, came to Netjets in 08, enjoyed it, took the mandatory LOA '10-'14, and found my way to freighter 747s, and grooved on that too, when the recall came my familia asked that I return to my 7&7 life and I was pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoyed this job more the second time around . I will never diss 121 , I loved that too, but this job works for me and mine , YM may certainly V, but in my case this has been a very good thing . Cheers, God bless !!! out : )

So quick question. As far as vacation goes. Are you awarded two weeks immediately or after one year of employment?
