Rejoice! That DUI isn't such a big deal.

You are about to get the call. Same for plenty of guys who didn't make the cut the first time.

I strongly encourage everyone in any tier to stay away. Go somewhere with better pay, more retirements, and more widebodies. And a management team that's willing to pay market rates with market QOL. Delta management is not willing to do that. Good job, bean counters. You just ruined a good thing. You won't be able to get it back.

If you can get to UPS or FedEx, do so.

Are you really that miserable that you feel compelled to drag others into your depression dungeon?
.
Advising all candidates to stay away? Really?
.
Take some vacation time.
.
Take up an enjoyable hobby. (miserable posts here, even 4,000+ don't count as a hobby)
.
Take a road trip with friends. (if you have any)
.
Layoff the caffeine.
.
.
But knock off telling potential candidates that it sucks @ DL.
.
It does NOT.
.
It may suck being you, but virtually everybody I fly with has an enjoyable life. Including DL. Your mileage clearly varies, but I would characterize your views on DL as a complete outlier, 5 sigma from the norm.
.
Grow up.

Road trip, vacation? What teet are you sucking on? Hahaha! Serious? He is either working too much because of our crummy pay and work rules or he is in a state of comatose brought to him, complements of our work rules, on his days off.

Yeah I am sure his life really sucks. 12 year + pay on the 7ER FO really really really sucks. He must be living hand to mouth. Maybe he should try getting a job like 95% of the rest of the country has and we would see if his tune remains the same.

I get your frustration, but telling people to stay away is a gross exaggeration of the current state of labor relations at DAL.

Most of our civilian applicants are coming from regionals where they made $40/hr for 8 years in the right seat and were in contract negotiations for 6 of those years, and they were concerned about their job security the entire time because Delta is so adept at pitting their regionals against each other. Delta is paradise to them, and most can't get an interview.

I was one of those people, and its so strange for me to see people losing their bowels over 7 months of negotiations without even seeing any sort of a finished agreement. Everyone has a different frame of reference.

Also, deterring people from coming to Delta would negatively impact your career. You need people under you before you can move up!
