UPS Conversion & '07 App

Subscribe
Has there been anyone that completed the '07 app, had less than 1000 PIC uncoverted, but over with the conversion, input the hours that show the less than 1K (as it tells you to do), and gotten a positive reply?

Also, does anyone know if HR is seeing the converted numbers since it does ask for number of mil sorties?

Ah, So ... you're in a pretty specific (unique?) position there. I have not yet been able to apply, but I'm also wondering "conversion" questions. After reading a LOT of these UPS app threads - I'm wondering how you know what the conversion is? Understand they just ask total flight time and then another spot for total sorties (or was it hours)?
I haven't been able to catch the online app open yet (started trying 2 weeks ago), so I don't even know what format the questions are. Appreciate any insight you can give me on that.

The '07 App (when available) specifically says to not include any Mil conversion. It does ask for number of sorties however. I'd like to think that there's some sort of conversion somewhere added, but who knows. Somewhere on the app it says they allow a 0.3 per sortie addition, but then it says not to include it when you get to the flight crew supplement.

A6danimal,
It sound's like you're somewhere that unclass internet time is precious. I filled out my app on 1/17 and can't update it, so I don't really remember too many details. What I remember is that it asks for your standard PIC, SIC, Instructor, Student times; per airframe. I believe it specifically asks for Multiengine Turbine (Jet or Turboprop) time only. It then has a few blocks to check that show your international experience, and a few other things that I don't think you'll need to prep for. Some people have posted that you can't get back in to finish if you log out of an incompleted app. I actually started mine at the squadron (after 1630, of course ) and realized I didn't have all my stuff with me. I closed it out and was able to get back into the app at home and finish it that evening. That should get you started. Feel free to PM me with any ?'s.

Good luck

Talk about kicking myself, back in late Jan when the '07 application showed up, I found it, not knowing that it would vanish again. I didn't think I had time to fill it out that particular moment and thought I would just do it the next day. Boy was I wrong!

If I wanted this level of frustration, I'd stay in the Air Farce!

When you first get into the app, it asks if you have 1000 PIC and says that mil may use a .3 per sortie conversion factor. It is a yes or no question, kind of like SWA's app. Once in, the flight section says no conversion in the numbers and asks for number of sorties.

Thanks, Trouser!
I appreciate the gouge. Another member sent me a spreadsheet with similar info, sounds like your memory was spot on. I think, given So's situation, he should say "yes", then put the non-converted hours in. Of course, another thread says they aren't going to open the app up again this year... but I'm certainly going to keep trying!
Wingnut's story is exactly why I want the cheatsheet of numbers in my pocket at all times. Hope you get in again, 'nut.
Again, thanks for the response, best of luck to all.
