Maybe so. ..or maybe we gave up our previous zero health care costs too easily?

We had no leverage. Its not like there was a looming a/c order on the horizon, or a hiring wave in the future.

But seriously, we did have an intelligent EB that maximized our gains based on the support level of the membership. Most of them are happy.

We should be supporting these guys 109%.

I was talking about the pre-2006 contract. Didn't they give up a zero cost health care plan back then?

..and yes, we should be supporting them 109%

I don't know anyone who doesn't support the mechanics. I have seen it the other way though. Can't get them do to the face to face or having them complain when you write something up. Seems to me that would be job security, but some don't want to deal with it.

Having said that, they obviously control the operational ability of the airline even more than the pilots.

The Airline is run by Maintenance. They load shed every detail to the flight side. Total BS. And our NURPS let them do it. I love most of our mechanics, but some are sooo lazy.

The Logbook issue for one. The Cargo door operation two.
