Atlas Air, along with other Amazon contractors, will be conducting informational picketing in front of Amazon HDQ on Weds Dec 7, 10am-2pm local time.

We would really appreciate a show of support from any local pilots.

Come walk with us at:
Amazon HDQ
440 Terry Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109

Any questions, please post in this thread or PM me.

You think they'll allow me to pick up my gift at the same time?

I'm going to try and come over. I'm glad at least one Union is trying to make the pilot profession respectable again. I worked for a company with no Union and the pilots were walked all over.
Great job Atlas pilots thank you for taking a stand!

I'm not sure!

But I'm confident the Atlas crews will offer you some coffee for your time.

Starbucks?

Um, yeah, sorry I have to say this but, Atlas is taking work from CX while CX pilots are in a work slowdown with no end in site.

An aquaitance at NCA Japan just had his upgrade cancelled due to Atlas taking some flying. Why, NCA says they cannot get enough pilots. Why, terms and conditions. NCA cut them and did it again.

I understand the frustration of the Atlas group pilots but you do work for an ACMI which means flying for others during periods of labor unrest. I'm sorry but you cannot have it both ways.

Were you going to honor ABXs strike? I guess as long as it's a U.S. carrier it's not ok but for foreign carriers, with loads of furloughed or displaced U.S. pilots, it is ok?

This isn't the place to debate the strengths and weaknesses of a free market and competition.

It is what it is--real life.

Those decisions are made WAY above our pay grade, so it's not Atlas pilots taking jobs from ANYONE.

All we're trying to do is effect better pay and working conditions for ourselves with the hope of improving this segment of the industry.

If you cannot support that, then I wish you the best and ask you to not hinder our efforts.

So, I'm just a local schmuck who flies PC-12's and King Airs, but someday I hope to be flying the big stuff, for the pay and benefits that professionals deserve. It would be an honor to come out and show support, but I'm a total newbie to 121's, unions etc. If you want another pilot out there showing support I'd love to stand with you, anyone want to PM me any protocol, dress code, etc?

Just show up in whatever you wear to your job. Introduce yourself to the organizers. I am an ABX pilot that lives in SEA and hope to be there.

Perfect. Thanks very much.

Only advice: wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
