The real conflict of interest is having the pilot representation group getting paid 104 credit hours a month by the company.

Just like in the 1990’s CRJ guys vs E120 guys. We only had 10 jets. I thought i would never be captain on the Jet. Doomed to the E120 for life...
Thats been going on for decades... 1997 Air Wisconsin pay Vs. ACA...late 90’s Comair vs Eagle.. there have always been carriers paying more. Then they go away and the next one rises up.. SkyWest is having there turn at the bottom..

That is the message you got out of my post?
I was replying the post above mine by giving an example of why we "don't" want to split the pilot group.

I'm not even talking about our pay rates compared to different companies. We already know we've fallen behind. I'm talking about the idea of changing pay rates based off what base you are at with SkyWest.

I also think it’s a conflict of interest for ALPA to represent major airlines as well as regional airlines. They obviously get the majority of their income from the majors. Thus when push comes to shove they’d rather see the majors do well and sacrifice the regionals QOL to make sure it happens.
It’s not much different than our government system. State and local, federal and state. It’s up to every airline to work for their group. What I find odd is that you say there’s a conflict of interest between mainline and regionals like there isn’t a conflict of interest between SAPA and management. It seems to me that a SAPA representative would be inclined to sway more towards the company. And maybe some fear of pushing some things at the company?

Could not have been said better!

There's a reason SkyWest management spends millions to stop union organization.

Have a look at a court order from the last go-around with SkyWest ALPA Organizing vs SkyWest Airlines, page 23 part B. Union drive failed but ALPA organizing wanted to try and stop the funding of SAPA by management.
