Default Skywest RTP

Just seeing if any of you new hires out there used the RTP program? Any insights? Schools used? Thank you in advance.

I just got accepted into the RTP. They just changed the program and say they give you the $20,000 up front and you can train locally at any flight school you choose. I go to orientation at the end of the month and I will get more firm details and eyes on the contract.

Reviving this thread, has anybody interviewed with Skywest for their RTP? Is it solely HR, "tell me about a time when" style questions, or are there technical questions asked?

There are technical questions as well (High Alt Aero, Jepp App Brief, Alternate Reqts, Electrical System of recent aircraft flown, Turbine Engine, etc.). The info over at aviationinterviews.com was spot on for getting ready for the interview. I interviewed in Feb and received a CJO a couple days later. Good Luck!

In addition to aviationinterview.com you can ask your recruiter for a interview prep where you can do a skype interview with a interviewer (usually a skywest CPT) and they will tell you how they conduct their interviews, what questions they ask, and what areas people seem to be weak in.

Also you can go to their orientation before you get hired, and they pay to fly out out to salt lake and you tour their headquarters and get alot of questions answered and they go over some interview questions if time permits.

These resources are available to anyone, not just RTP.
