DTW Base?

Was wondering if DTW is a junior base with SkyWest? Where are new hires being sent as first assignment base?

Thanks for the help!

NH’s get DTW.... usually half the class or more...

Cool Thanks! Any idea on how long new hires are sitting reserve in DTW?

I don’t think there are any reserve lines in Detroit for June.

amcnd 05-13-2018 11:29 AM

That is correct, 146 anticipated lines. Zero reserve lines. As pilots finish IOE they will be added to the reserve list or given open trips..

How about captains? How long do CRJ captains sit reserve in detroit?

What tends to go more junior between DTW and ATL? In a new hire class, that is.

1-2 months

So someone looking to live in Ann Arbor (30 minute drive from DTW) would be wise to go to SkyWest? My eye has been on Endeavor, but they don't have any openings, possibly not until early next year. I'll have my hours by July.

Follow the money. Or there is no need to offer such money.

Yeah. Seems like an extra $20,000 per year seems worth giving up 6-7 months of seniority.

Really hope you guys get a pay raise soon.

How many time have you seen airlines say not hiring tell 2019. Then they revise mid 2019, then 2020. Take first class you can at OO. Apply at Endeavor. And get some experience in the CRJ before you make a lateral move. But i would guess by summer we match FO pay..

Skywest won’t match Endeavor pay.

I agree. Go to SKW. Then, make a lateral move to Endeavor if it makes sense. 6 months of flying is 400+ hours. And, right now, upgrades are quick. The goal isn’t to make money at a regional, but to move to a legacy carrier as soon as possible.

Detroit. Although the last initial class, I believe 2 got ATL. The class before, all went to DTW. You can almost assuredly get ATL before you finish IOE, probably even sim training, if that is what you are looking for.

What are the chances of getting a line in Atl?
