Default SKW ATL reserve time and hours

Can any ATL SkyWest folks talk about the reserve picture there? How long can you expect to be on reserve there after you get ATL? And while on reserve, how much can you expect to fly? Thanks.

I was hired in Feb and sat reserve one month in Detroit after IOE. I was awarded ATL July 1st with a line at 95% It is very hard to tell you for sure. Every month it changes. Atlanta is a very junior base and shouldn't be longer then 2 to 3mo after IOE. The movement in Detroit and ORD is much faster then Atlanta. I waited to bid into Atlanta 1mo so I knew I would get a line. It worked for me. I am very happy I came to Skywest wanting Atlanta as a base living in Florida.

I was considering Skywest and would love ATL, is it possible to get ATL and stay there out the gate?

What he's saying is that the most junior pilot in Atlanta was hired May 30th.

So, given the training timeline, that pilot is still in training and was awarded that base. This means you can bid for and potentially be awarded Atlanta before you even leave training.
