Class/Seniority/Base Questions
Just got hired recently with a 31JAN CRJ class date.
I'm curious about a few things.. 1) What is the average number of cadets in each new hire class? 2) Does the cadet seniority go 9999 first then 0001 or does the lowest ssn get the highest number? 3) I've been snooping around the seniority lists/bases and it looks like there are still 30 open FO slots at DFW.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does that mean that you can bid for (and possibly get) DFW straight out of class? 4) While sitting on reserve at the bottom of the list, is there a higher chance of getting flown at any one base compared to another? I.E. reserve @ DTW getting 80hrs vs. reserve @ DFW getting 40hrs. 5) Does the employee ID# mean anything for bidding/bases/etc? Or is it purely a function of benefit start dates? -I'm a 062xxx and I see the numbers are up to 065xxx now. Thanks in advance.. just trying to figure out how soon I should start packing up my family for a move. Also, anyone with the same class date? I wonder if it's full yet. |
My class date 1/31 CTP, 2/12 indoc. See you there

For a while they weren't even building reserve lines, they were counting on people coming off of IOE and being built a reserve schedule. 5) Employee number is irrelevant. Numbers get recycled all the time. It's all seniority. Good luck. |

After the cadets, seniority in class is by last 4 of SSN, starting with 0000. 9999 would be least senior. New hires still in training have been awarded DFW in the last bid.

True... but cadets must recite the cadet pledge in front of the rest of the class to activate their super seniority :D
That would be fantastic. |
