Default E175 Training

Anybody who went through E175 training recently willing to PM me I’d appreciate it. I have a couple questions.
Looking for the best way to prep.... or things you wish you would’ve known before starting training?
I’m a CFI-II. I have Sheppard Air for the ATP.
I’ve heard about the fire hose and to wait till they give you the info so you don’t learn the wrong stuff.. I have a few months before training so just looking for any advice! Feels like I should be doing something other than teaching to get ready?
FYI...I interviewed last week and the soonest class date for 175 was November. I’m on the waitlist for August.
Thanks!

I would if CRJ were in KBOI. I’ve been going back and forth, but decided on being based where I live, even though it will slow my process.

Oh look, this thread again. Don't do any prep. The airline will probably tell you what to study before class and then they will teach you during said class. That's why they have a training dept.

Why would anyone defer seniority for 4 months just to fly the shiny jet? You're looking at a difference of 500 to 700 numbers by doing so. Sometimes 10 numbers can be life-changing. Take the first available class.

Main reason was to be based where I live. Don’t really wanna uproot the family. If they offered CRJ here I would jump on that in a heartbeat. I’d actually rather start out in CRJ, but all I hear about is QOL, so I figured I’d try to stay in base if I can.

If you tell us which base we can better assist you. If it's SAN, go to PSP. If it's SEA or PDX, good luck getting in. You won't hold a captain seat in any of those bases for a decade. Ask me how I know.

KBOI..
I know I won’t be able to hold captain here, but at least should be able to get it pretty soon after initial training.
Everyone is always saying live in base if possible... here it’s possible, but will be sacrificing seniority and more flying. I’ve been weighing it pretty hard, and the living in base holds a lot of weight!
I dunno!
