LGA crash pad gouge for new FOs on reserve?
What's the gouge for finding crash pads in LGA for the bulk of us that will sit reserve there fresh off IOE? I know crashpad411 is a good website. Do you just reserve one off the web and hope for the best, or do people spend a few nights in a hotel or Airbnb and go shopping in person?
I get the whole cold rack vs hot rack (no thank you) thing. Seems like a lot of variety in accommodations and it's sometimes difficult to tell online what the true story is. Obviously you get what you pay for to a certain extent. But I'm pretty sure I want to check them out before I sign up for weeks/months. A day walking around Kew Gardens sounds like a good idea to me.
Any help from those of you who've gone before us is appreciated.

When preparing for your crash pad interview, websites such as crashpadinterviews.com have the latest gouges from all of the major crash pads in the NYC area. Paying the membership fee to get detailed information about furnishings and bunk mates is highly recommended.
There's often a technical portion, followed by an HR panel with the standard TMAAT questions. Most crash pads don't require a sim these days.
These days, most crash pads are desperate enough that if you can fog a mirror, then you're in.

Snark noted. H. I. Larious. Not especially helpful.
I looked for a crash pad forum on APC but there strangely isn’t one, so I posted here. Our class will be 27 new ERJ FOs showing up in LGA in Mar/Apr, most looking for crash pads. This will recur every couple weeks with large classes now - a steady stream of new ERJ FOs into LGA. Seems reasonable not to reinvent the wheel.
So, I’m seeking some advice from those in the company who’ve been there on what works best specifically for SkyWest FOs on reserve based on reserve skeds, commuting in and out of LGA, flying battle rhythm, days off, shuttles and public transport, etc.
We can certainly divide and conquer and figure it on our own. Just looking for tips or initial vectors to make the crashpad search more effective for large numbers of folks. You can be part of the solution, or you can sit on the sideline with your popcorn. Makes no difference to me.

Like others said. Unless you’re looking for that scene, try and find a pilot only pad or if it’s a pilot and fa pad, a place with older clientele. I changed places a handful of times before I finally found a quiet spot. I walked into one in Kew Gardens once, it was chaotic, people were yelling and screaming, it was the day the owner was showing me. I almost immediately walked out. I’m sure the owner was embarrassed as heck. Also you’ll notice a vast majority of places in kew Gardens are ran only by a handful of people. A lot of them are just slum lords and own sometimes up to a dozen properties. Avoid places ran by a guy named Art or his sons.

Even worse, rampers, and the fuel truck guy comes in late and hangs his kerosene soaked clothes on the bunk bed. The fumes may not have been explosive but definitely a health hazard. I imagine the blue juice guy would be similarly problematic.
Kew Gardens is the usual place for LGA.
