Interview results?

Hi,
I interviewed last weekend and I think it went very well. How long does it typically take to get the results? Also, if you don't get hired, will they let you know why?
Thanks in advance

I interviewed years ago, took about 2 weeks for a reply (or class offer).

Most companies WILL NOT tell you the specific reason for not hiring (unless it's related to lack of experience...technical knowledge).

Typically, you will receive a "another candidate that suits our needs was selected, best of luck in your job search" letter.

I actually received an offer from OO in the form of e-mail with a ton of PDF files to begin study.

Thanks for the input. Trying to be patient:)

I interviewed in January got the call 2 hours after. A friend of mine interviewed aswell (Skype interview) he got a call the following day. Typically they say they'll call back within 4 business days. I dont know if it depends on the workload of the HR department. But they'll let you know the outcome of the interview.

I bet if you have prior 121, they could make you an offer on the spot.

Last year I interviewed and got called with job offer two days later. I think they do some back ground checks before the call with a offer. You should get a call this coming week I would think. Best of luck

Thanks for all the replies. Hopefully Ill hear something soon.

I interviewed in late January. Can't remember if I got the call the next day or the day after. It was pretty quick though. They also gave me feedback on topics to brush up on both at the end of the interview, and when I got the call (same stuff). Everyone was great start to finish. Looking forward to joining the team.

Just curious, what is this about and is it a problem. It seems like that is how modern social media works (see Reddit). Flat top level searchable categories vs a few deep folders and hierarchies.

The people on here who have been around for longer than a month get tired of seeing the same post overandoverandoverandoverandoverandoverandover.

The search function is a fun tool. It takes more work to start a new thread and wait for answers than searching and reading another thread before posting. (protip.... adding a post to an old thread bumps it to the top of the list too....)

I interviewed and didn't hear anything for almost three weeks. I had to contact my recruiter twice regarding it. I did get the job, but thought I hadn't got it. Definitely reach out to your recruiter if you haven't heard anything in over a week. They're often just backed up and things go to the wayside.

Turbosina 03-05-2019 08:43 PM

For what it's worth, when I interviewed (5 years ago) I didn't hear anything for a week. Finally I called and got through to someone in the recruiting department who was clearly overworked and very apologetic when she realized they hadn't yet contacted me with an offer.

I'd wait a week or two, then give 'em a call...

What class dates were everybody rewarded?

Ihavenoidea 03-25-2019 10:40 PM

I heard it was about 6 months from interview date to get an ERJ class, and 5 months to get a CRJ class. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

This is correct.

How are the interviews these days? Still a mirror fogging evolution or have they tightened back up a bit?

samimifs 04-01-2019 10:03 PM

Do you get paid while you wait for your class date?

I just got the offer yesterday and I’m starting SLC CRJ training on 28 July. Looking forward to training! Anybody else slated for 28 July CRJ?

I wouldn't say it is a mirror fogging evolution. I think they definitely appreciate people who show up prepared. I studied for the tech portion and chewed my food with my mouth closed.... Seemed to work out. I was told of a person who wasn't put forward with a green light after the interview, but I was told they REALLY tanked the tech part of the interview. I interviewed at a military information event. It looks like a ton of RTP people are getting hired (I am not an RTP).

Agreed. The vibe was definately “low threat” but it didn’t feel like a formality. I was fairly well prepared in most areas but my interviewer definitely probed in areas where I was weak. Glad to day it worked out in the end.

I interviewed last Thursday (Mar 28th), and got the CJO on Friday. I start training on July 2nd, so 3'ish months from interview. It sounded like June classes were definitely full, but I got the impression there might be a slot or two still open in April and/or May - I'm just not available that early.

Good luck to everyone, and looking forward to joining the team!

Looking to trade that date? I'm trying to get a June/early July class traded with my current July 26th date.

I'm pretty happy with my date - I'm actually available a week earlier, so it works out pretty well. Holler if you end up the Jul 2nd class, though! Good luck.

Of course with the full benefits. Prolong the class date as long as possible for the free money.
